yes, its good this is coming to the PC.

I had Mortal kombat x, street fighter 4, then Tekken, then this = Xbox sold :)
Yeah. I have all those, plus injustice 2, killer instinct, street fighter 5, dead or alive 5 and some others I forget now.

I think with this my fighter collection will be near complete on the pc. No need for consoles :D

Maybe Virtua Fighter 6 would be nice.

thinking about getting a stick type controller. i dont play online, i dont play often enough to get good at it, but i do enjoy a good beat-em-up. wondering is a fighting stick will make it more enjoyable.
I tried a fighting stick, had one for about a year. I am simply better with a controller. Also the stick takes up space so sold it

I am an average player myself, still really enjoy playing though. Right now I am enjoying Injustice 2.

Interesting, did not know about that game, looks decent. Will keep an eye out and pick it up if I find it cheap. Got burnt on the last Marvel vs Capcom which was not as good as I expected it, not to mention the price dropped a lot within a couple of months.

I personally cannot wait for Soulcalibur 6. I used to really enjoy that back in the day. Surprised by the lack of interest here so far to be honest.

It looks like the steam page is up. 6 weeks until release :)

Priced at £49.99 seems a bit steep. The developers are saying this might be the last in the series if it does not sell well. Judging by the lack of interest in here and the high price, that may indeed end up happening. Hope it does well. Would be happy to pay around £30 on release if I can find it cheaper elsewhere.

It can be had for around £32 from Voidu using the 25% off code which is on their site at the moment. The code runs out this weekend, so I decided to go ahead and preorder as it looks good and it has been a game I have wanted on pc for a long time.

I would rather buy that then buy dlc for tekken. I am not a fan of buying dlc for fighting games which are just unlocking characters. Not at the silly prices they ask for them anyway. I just wait a few years and can grab all the dlc for a few quid if it takes my fancy. Just look at Mortal Kombat X. The dlc was expensive just like all these other fighting games, but now you can buy the game with everything including dlc for less than £5.

Fair enough. I also like Lei Wulong, but I just cannot bring myself to pay the kind of money they will want for it which will likely be £15 at least when that pays for half of a brand new experience with Soulcalibur. It is not just about the money though. If I played it a lot like you, I would probably consider buying it also. Though for me I feel that I have got majority of the fun out of Tekken 7 already. Currently playing a bit of Killer Instinct and Street Fighter V as at least with that I can unlock characters :)

Ahh, I loved this back on the Dreamcast, played it for hours on end :D

Is it just me, or have the graphics not significantly Improved?
I somewhat thought the same due to how good the originals graphics were for its time. But there is a big difference. I will do a comparison later on for fun when I get the time :)

I am happy to see that is will have good single player content. I was disappointed with Tekken 7. Once I finished the main story there was not a whole lot more to do.

I am preloading it now on steam. Only 11.6GB? Not sure if that is the whole game, as most other recent fighters are like 30-70GB's!

This was released last night where I had a go of arcade mode, online and character creation. Not tried the story modes yet. Have to say this has certainly met my expectations!

Turned out the game is indeed only 11.6GB's! I wonder why Tekken 7 is like over 5 times larger? The only thing I can think about is the textures could be better in this game which would obviously increase size. Hopefully we get a 4K texture pack at some point, but if we don't I am still happy with what we have as it does look good.

The game appears to be a lot more optimised than other fighting games. It needs a lot less grunt compared to the likes of Street Fighter 5, Injustice 2 and Tekken 7. All the while looking just as good if not better!

The online mode is surprisingly good and I only experience some lag in one out of 6 fights I had (which I only won like 2, lol) :)

Will post some 4K images and my final verdict later on today. But for now I can say if you enjoyed the original like I did on the Dreamcast back in the day, you won't be disappointed with this :D

Played the two single player story modes. They are good but I do wish they had cinematics like Mortal Kombat X/Injustice 2 which would really help make them be more entertaining and be less bland. That said I am very happy they are there.

If they did the above and had something similar to fight money Street Fighter 5 has to earn and unlock stuff slowly by playing rather than it being mandatory to pay, this would be close to a 10 for me as fighting games go. Certainly see myself playing this a lot more compared to Tekken 7 for example.

I know we won't be getting any of what I would like to see above, but it would be nice if at some point they released a 4K texture pack.

Here are some 4K images I have taken:

Soulcalibur was my first fighting love . modern tekkens just don't do it for me and havnt since tag tournament . shame my nets crap and will take till tomorrow to play it
Assuming you managed to get it downloaded by now, how have you been finding it?

I kind of wished they used to where you would have to play arcade mode with certain characters to unlock others, that used to be very satisfying :)

I am happy to report that Soulcalibur 6 has made it to the top of my current favourite fighting games on PC.
  1. SoulCalibur 6
  2. Street Fighter 5
  3. Mortal Kombat X
  4. Injustice 2
  5. Tekken 7
  6. Dead or Alive 5 Last Round
  7. Killer Instinct
  8. Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

To be fair the gap between SoulCalibur 6 and Street Fighter 5 is minimal and they may swap positions in the future due to Street Fighter 5 having Fight Money which is fun to earn and spend on unlocking new characters and stages. Recently unlocked Sagat :)

Tekken 7 should be in 3rd spot really, but due to the way the game has been designed, there is nothing drawing me back to play it. Also for some reason it is just not as fun as it used to be for me as the one's on the PlayStation back in the day.

The only game left to complete my fighting game collection on the PC now is a Virtua Fighter game :D

Looks like 2B from Nier: Automata is headed over as DLC. Looks very good, but I will wait until all dlc cheap until I pick it up unless they release a must have hero, I am very happy with Geralt as I am playing Witcher 3 also right now :D
