**Official stop making official threads thread**

I don't mind if its official but NOT when we already have a main thread with lots of pages :(, if it's a first official thread then it needs a lot of information

Ban, for trying to be funny.

Ban for not liking my awesome and truthful thread.

Exactly. It's annoying, pointless and a total waste of time. Most of the times the new "Official thread" has no info in it, and it's just useless.
Just use the thread that is already there.

Yup...sick of someone throwing "official" in the title and then not really going to any effort to post information, they just want the credit for being the OP on a new game.

credit? Who has ever got credit for posting a game thread

Forum mentality...immature posters often want to be the one's who start threads about popular games/movies/music and so on. Been using the net since '97 and have seen it over and over again, was hoping it would stop one day ;)

agree with op its retarded when there is already an 8page + thread but it doesnt say ***official*** so someone makes a new one....

Agree with Neil79, could give a crap what threads came before or who is making it, but if you do make one put some effort in and provide information / links / keep it up to do date. Don't just make the thread with as many *s as possible then say /discuss.

This.

Threads about games where the OP is kept up today with release info, screenshots, trailers are fantastic. I hate threads that consist of *link*, "Discuss".

Also when something significant regarding a game comes out, but someone feels it requires it's own thread rather than posting in the main one. All that results in is the exact same things being discussed and argued twice over.

Meh, couldn't care less. If anything it highlights them and makes them easier to find when looking for them.

while we at it can we just make a indie thread and plonk all them in there ;)

50 different threads on indie titles just stick em in the indie pot :D

people who like these games will read anyway

official threads waste of time . look at bf3 for eg same as any other game ends up 1000 nerds talking about stuff they dont know for two years before games out :p

we have a doom 4 one ffs

I've never understood the fascination with something being *******OFFICIAL******** anyway, who decrees what is official?

In fact, what difference does it make? Are there unofficial threads? Are non OFFICIAL threads not to be trusted?

I've just never seen the point frankly
