I haven't done any benching under water yet, even with this chip! I can't wait to get benching SuperPI again next week!

See you bought another 3770k mate, nice one. Mine will be retired in a few days time.4770k setup incoming.
 
5ghz 24/7 should see me comfortable for some time, plus the nerd points is a plus :p

Hope you get a good clocker this time mate!
 
Hope so too mate, actually bought it from the same fella as you bought your new 3770k from, tested at 4.6ghz on 1.25v, my current chip needs 1.3400v to be game stable at 4.5ghz, not bench stable though as it whea errors running 3dm11, and the physics and combined scores take a bit of a hit. On all the forums im on, it's probably the worst clocking 3770k ive seen.
 
Unsure what to do with the 3770k and board, sell them on or replace my second rig, (x58 board and i7 930). The cash would be handy as i need to get the stock on one of my shotguns repaired. Which will cost a fair amount.
 
I'm glad to see my score is still on the board, need to get a 4770k soon and put it under my rig. I should do some new benching as I have a lovely new EK block to play with =^_^=
 
Just got myself a Maximus V Formula + 3770k coming next week. I'll get the VRMs under water soon and the 3770k will be direct-die cooled straight away, then let the benching commence!
 
Had a play with the H87 MB I bought to use in my Media PC.
The RAM only runs at 1600 tops on H87 boards so it was quite challenging to get a decent time.

First run on my 4770k, 8gb of samsung green.



All at stock as i havent had time to play about with it, (much better will come i hope). Iirc my best with the 3570k was 7m 24 secs. Dont think i tried the 3770k as it was useless in any form of stressing/benching.

Sure will, cpu @4.5ghz.



2 seconds slower than my best time with the 3570k at the same speed but ram at 2133mhz 9-10-10-21 96 trfc. Havent clocked the ram on this setup yet, or messed with uncore. So should see another drop in time.
