@setter, try raising dram, sa and io voltages and try 2400 10-12-12-21-1T 88 rfc, if its a no go try raising tras or cr to 2. Found the samsung ic's I had on a set of jipjaws scaled well on timings with volts.

I will have a go with the greens this evening.
HW overclocks RAM very well so I expect 2600+.
Just need to find out which 2 of the 4 I have are the good ones, forget to mark them last time :(

Got to 2666Mhz OK on the Samsung green but had to set 2T
A little slower than the TG RAM but that is running 2800 1T which the greens cant match.

4770K 5.3Ghz/4.9Ghz Samsung green at 2666 10,12,12,24 2T

Yes that is normal.
Run it a few times and post the best time.

If you used a dedicated OS image without a lot of bloat which your normal everyday OS has, there would be less discrepancies between the runs.
The top times will always be achieved on dedicated XP installs.
You could try changing the priority of SP to high or realtime that will prevent other tasks from stealing processing time whilst it is running.

Nice clock on the greens PCZ, what sort of voltage are you using for that? Currently on 2133mhz here at 1.55v.

When I did the SP run with the greens I used 1.75v.
I might still have the profile saved on the HERO.
From memory I think I did try at 1.85v briefly to see if they could run 1T at 2666 but that was a no go so I dropped back down to 1.75.

They don't seem to scale much past 1.75v.
Unlike the TG's which love the volts

Cheers, gonna try for 2400mhz first. Had to raise ioa, iod and sa volts to 1.200 to get them running stable. Was getting a lot of 0x124 bsods in games. Running great now.

When I am pushing for high mem clocks on the hero I up ioa, iod and sa.
all +0.199.
I haven't spent much time to fine tune those settings I just set them all the same.

BTW
I have the greens running at 2400 10,12,12,24 2T with my 4930K which is proving to be stable.
Only 2 of the 4 sticks I have can go 2600+, but all four together can run 2400 24/7 in quad channel on X79.

Set all the same based on advice from 8 Pack. Also disabled svid and raised vccin to 1.9v.

2400 24/7 with 16gb is pretty nice.

yes svid disabled and vccin increased to 1.875.

Did mess around with vccin and high vcore trying to get my first 4770K to run stable at >4.5 it is an awful clocker.
Had it set to 2v to keep that rubbish chip fed with juice.

Quick question if I may,

What is svid? And vccin, Is that initial cpu input voltage?

If it is mine's still at stock I think it's 1.715.

Can increasing this improve stability?

Cheers

My first entry for the leaderboard. More tuning to come as well as benching with my Special XP rather than my bloated win 7 install. I'll probably try bringing it upto 1.9v VDIMM to see if we can get a run it at CAS8

Decided to get XP installed. Still some minor OS tweaks that worked well on my Phenom II to try. I really need a Z77 board to get the best out of this memory though.

EDIT: Vcore was set way higher than is actually needed for some stupid reason. Fastest sub 5gbhz 3570k by a good margin by the looks of things

What Service Pack are you running ?
If SP2 or 3 you could be running PAE which will hurt your times.
add this to your bootini.
/noexecute=alwaysoff /NOPAE

Something to try
Superpi only needs one core so you could set the bios to disable all but one core.
Then boost up the clockspeed to 5.2 or more.
