official Transformers 3 Thread ere

Transformers 1 was great fun, the second was pretty boring. There is no excuse for such a plotless film to go on for so long.

I have no expectations for the 3rd.

The B1 in the second film was just awesome imo :D besides as a switch off and dribble type of film it pretty much ticked the boxes.

I have all these - the full set.

Heh nice collection. I'm sure I have massive box somewhere of used, and worn and torn originals from the 80s/90s. I remember the Galvatron one with the light at the end.

“We tried to learn from the second movie. On the second movie we got burned. We had a writers strike, we had to agree on a story in three weeks, and then we knew they were going on strike. It was a ****ed scenario all the way around, it wasn’t fair to the writer, it wasn’t fair to me, it wasn’t fair to anybody. It was still an entertaining movie, but I think we failed on certain aspects. What we did with this movie is I think we have a much better script, and we got back to basics. I think there’s some really cool action on this movie, there’s some very cool conspiracy, there’s great robot stuff in this that people were missing in the second one, you’ve got great robot conflict. So I’m excited about this movie. It’s more serious. I got rid of the dorky comedy, I mean we’ve got two little characters, that’s it, but the dorkiness is not there. Dork-free Transformers. It’s much more serious. It’s still entertaining, it’s big looking.”

“My take on this movie was that I wanted to make the fighting a lot more personal. In the past two movies the cavalry has always came in, this time the cavalry isn’t coming. It’s black hawk down, a small group; they’re ****ed. It makes it more intimate.”

Also from reading that, it looks like poor Sam got dumped by his lover girl.

I loved the first 2, who cares about plot? Its transformers ffs, it doesnt really HAVE a plot :p Oh and is that a Ferrari 458 in the 2nd video at about 4 mins?

It's ok to say "who cares about plot" if the film is an hour and a half long.

But when it has no plot and a ton of slow mo AND suffers from Michael Bay sequel self-indulgence syndrome with a running time of two and a half hours, it ends up going from "who cares about plot" to "Why won't it end?!"

The second one was like chinese water torture and I ****** LOVED Bad Boys 2!

"What we did with this movie is I think we have a much better script,".

Brilliant - at the end of the day little was Michael Bay's fault, it was the story that was cack (as mentioned above).

First was pretty bad, 2nd was more faithful i think to the cartoon series but still was kinda bad. They just make the bots too mechanical when in the cartoon they looked much simpler which imo was better than what was made for the films.

If their gona make a 3rd film it best be with cybertron and maybe a live version of the original transformers cartoon film with Unicron which would be kinda cool.
