official Transformers 3 Thread ere

Me and the mrs and rest of the cinema room loved it!

Still the 3D didn't work for me, was annoying me at times. Will be a bluray buy straight away for me.

I think i'll wait for this one on DVD. I thought the first was quite good but the second had me glancing at my watch wishing it would end. It was just a chain of robot fight sequences with an incomprehensible story tacked on as an afterthought.

I've liked the previous two Transformers films, hence why I went to see this tonight.....Possible one of the worst films i've seen this year absolutly amature and corny as anything. ...

This victorious soldier walking out of the smoke and rubble with the American flag flapping in the wind battle scarred but triuphent is getting a bit of a joke lately.. Its as if the eat ya popcorn and think about nothing film making brigade have been given a secret memo saying" boost our countrys ego because we need it after 9-11 and the ensuing wars in the East"

Thought it was ok, don't think anything will match the awesomeness of the first film when you first saw the Transformers land

Last two films have just seemed really contrived. Wouldn't mind working at that car museum though, schwiiiing :D

I didn't find much about this one I didn't like. One of the first movies in ages where I sat not thinking is this going to end soon because I'm getting leg cramps. I wish they did a fourth film with unicron etc that would be epic to say the least

There is one problem with getting Unicron into a live action movie - the amount of CGI on him alone would blow the budget into outer space. As for the movie itself - really enjoyed it (mainly for the G1 references and the bots getting more screen time). 'Loved' how they retconned the 2nd movie by stating that Prime was killed (in the 2nd movie) so that the matrix of leadership would be found and later used to revive Sentinel...when Jetfire was the only one in the second movie aware of the matrix actually being on Earth to begin with :P On a more humorous note - Rosie remaining impeccably dressed (and her white top untarnished!) despite being inside collapsing buildings, etc. was absolutely mind blowing.

Regarding the Shockwave comments - he is portrayed more like his comic book (both G1 Marvel and G1 IDW continuities) version - dangerous and calculating - than the G1 cartoon version (clumsy scientist).

Just got back from seeing it, it was enjoyable but the moment I walked out of the cinema I realised how much they've messed up the plot over the three films.

The first was decent enough, they just needed to get into the main action quicker. The second was terrible at times, but had some decent action sequences. The third had the best action scenes but still had those long boring sections with nothing happening.

****SPOILER****

I was disappointed with the ending, I was a bit angry with how they killed off Megatron, he just got killed by an unexpected shot after saving Prime's life, Sentinel then died and that was it, end of film. It would have been awesome to see a big three way fight between Prime, Sentinel and Megatron rather than them all killing each other with cheap shots.

Been drinking so bare with me.

****POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!! DONT READ ON IF YOUR GOING TO SEE IT!!! *****

Me and a friend were saying how they should have really mixed it up in this film in either of these ways...

After Megan leaving we think they should have either sent Shia into a depression making the story more dark and grittierer(?)

Take out Shia completely and just make it about the autobots and humans vs baddies.

Its so annoying becuase we felt that the main problem was the unbelieveable "love" between both Shia and Brit Sexy Bird. Lack of explaination of where Meg went. ****ed me off. Aswell as this we felt that this film has fallen into its own comfort zone and didnt want to upset people...I know these Transformers are all about the action, cheesey comedy and stuff but come on, MIX IT UP ABIT!

Saying that the film was good and there were new thing I enjoyed. More swearing, robots with red "blood" and the killing of humans...

Good film but just not pushing the potential of what it could be...

My currently drunken opinion, Hope it makes sence (will read and edit in the morning)

zomg spolierszz

Megatron has his mouth repaired yet his head is wide open with little parasites eating away at him.

I saw this again at the weekend.

And seeing those little robots again, it looked to me like they were trying to repair megatron. They look exactly like the doctor robots that scanned Sams brain in ROTF.

Oh and I thought it was just as brilliant the second time round. :D

Saw it last night.

First half was good (in terms of accepting TF for what it is), audience laughed, groaned (red strawberry laces), it didn't take itself too seriously - as a film about giant english speaking robots who can be swayed with emotional arguments, with 2 arms/legs and mouths has to be - but then the 2nd half was everything that was wrong with TF2, an endless set of explosions, plot going walkabout, characters disappearing never to be seen again and basically being about 3 times as long as it needed to be. I don't think the audience made a peep in the last act, and by the time they'd started the big fight my interest levels were waning.

Pity really. As most have said, better than no2 but no1 still stands out as being the best due to the plot/advancement of plot being coherent-ish, the action scenes not being drawn out longer than they need to be and generally being less crap.

I disliked the way the robots seemed to.grapple and wrestle with each other in the first and second films. i mean i know usa people like wwf.or whatever but the gilms are sll good until the robots go man o man. Surely youd think that being robots they.would use tactics and not run at each.other like goons?

I think Rose would be worth seing in 3D. Other than that, apart from the usual gimmick shots (SLB being thrown through the air in slo-mo) I didn't really see any point to 3D. Then again, I rarely do. :)

I saw this on the weekend in 3D. I went in with hopes/anticipation set to CGI only.

I wasn't disappointed as a result. The storyline is as annoying if not more so than the 2nd. However the action/CGI/effects were a lot more/better. At one point before the last battle of the city came I was thinking "Another hour to go...at least its all action from now".

Essentially it's just another generic followup from Bay. Bigger explosions, better CGI. The story hasn't improved from the first film, which was ropey but probably the best one out of the three for that category.

All in all it's worth seeing at the cinema for a 2.5hr turn your brain off and go "oooh" at the CGI. The 3D was ok but not mind blowing. I would imagine it is probably better in 3D just because it gives it something else, even if that something isn't a great deal. Worth the extra £1.50 at the cinema...who knows.

All in all I'd give it 6.0/10

For reference, I thought the first was 6.5/10 and the second 5/10.

I really enjoyed this film saw it last night and was glad I saw it in 3D, lots of action nice pan shots of the new lass what more could you ask for.

If you go to the cinema I can't see the problem in paying a extra £1.50 to see it in 3D as they are so damned pricey its not going to make that much difference, might as well see it in all its glory.
