whats the highest you would risk going voltage on a 7970? i have a Gigabyte W3 never seems to go over 68c i have tried up to 1250mv on air.

If you want to play it safe 0.125mv. Considering Ghz edition cards are all 1.250v then if your stock voltage is 1.175v then you should be safe up to 1.250v.

Don't hold me responsible if your card dies though. :D Less is always more and all that.

Although my card will do 1325mhz @1.275v volts i either run it at 1125mhz stock voltage (1.112v) or 1172mhz overclocked at 1.138v voltage.

Yeah my stock is 1174mv stock 1000mhz/1375,hz not a GHZ editon, i run at the same speeds you run 1172/1563 @ 1187mv.:)
 
Nice score borley. The gains past 1800mhz on this benchmark are small. I typically use 1823mhz (350gb bandwidth) or 1875mhz (360gb bandwidth) if im trying to squeeze every last point out. The gains past these clocks are tiny.
