The game isn't a patch on CoD4. I feel dirty just mentioning it in the same sentence!
I love the ut series and can't wait to start playing ut3 
I never really got on with more realistic games like cs, or felt particularly interested in cod. Sci-fi & un-realism wins it for me and the fantastic team games, I hope there's an OCUK clan coming ...

Edit2: Just played first game, instant action, small map me against 5 AI bots with the dual shock 3 and this is awesome. (And I won!!). The sense of speed is still there which is the one thing that I thought could make or break this game. It doesn;t feel slow or tactical like your Halo's and Call of Duty and any other fps I have played on 360 and ps3. No slowdown at all (But I am gonna rack up the bots to give that a full workout later). After 1 game I am pleased!

Hopefully it's some kind of joke, but I doubt it.
How is the aiming? I'm worried it's gonna suck on the gamepad with it being a fast paced FPS. I know they've included Mouse and Keyboard support but I'd rather play with the pad if possible.

And man, that's actually the first UT screenshot I've seen, I've pretty much avoided anything about the game so far. That looks rather nice! Could you snap some in game shots please?

Could you snap some in game shots please?I too have avoided info on this game. I am keen to play a bit with the joypad for today, just to see what changing to the mouse and keyboard tonight offers in terms of changes
I have uploaded a video now with one 5 min game of me against 8 or 9 bots, with a dual shock 3 pad, and just an overview of the menus. I have not played a fast game with a joypad before, but initial impressions seem good to me. And I probably need some practice in aiming I guess, but it is only my 2nd game and I am very excited (yet sad at the same time to hear about "The 4400" cancellation)
It is taken from a K850i phone which is not really designed for videos so bear that in mind. (The file plays natively on my PS3 by using the card reader but should work in windows as well).

Quality has come out a bit crappy tbh but its uploaded now. 320*240 16mb file.

p.s. Dual shock battery has died so i want to charge up that bad boy for a while then play in a bit!.

I got stung with £48.03 today on a ps3 game that was imported
Rockband i guess? I thought about getting the standalone version, when it looked like the PS3 was going to have the GH3 guitar patch, but that seems to have gone out the window now.
I took some more pictures. They come out a bit rubbishy.
I tried the game with a wireless keyboard and mouse earlier. Movement is fine and adjustable like a PC game (I set to level 15 for mouse sensitivity). I think my mouse may be broken as it kept getting stuck whilst shooting, maybe some wireless interference or mouse is knackered, I will borrow one to compare.

Except the obvious of trading it once your done. I have heard that the bar codes are different so they won't except them or something along those lines.

You cannot trade, however you can sell quite easily on here or on eBay.
RE Imported PS3 games, I doubt I'll ever buy another UK PS3 game, you can get the US ones for £20 cheaper than RRP in most cases and 99% of the time arrive weeks (even months) before the UK versions.
