*****Official Unreal Tournament 3 Thread (ps3)*****

Has everyone installed there copies to the Hard drive? Seems to have improved game loading times and stopping the occasional texture pop ins.

Also just tested with mouse and keyboard, works surprisingly well, better than I thought it would, Just like on a PC, but I'll be sticking with pad on this I think.

Also just added the new user created maps as well.

Good!!! Still haven't got the mac working at the right resolution on it, but that is mainly down to me being too busy playing PS3 on it!!!

On Topic: I will be on this most of the evening I suspect, of someone wants to pick a time to play online.

what sites are you guys importing from? as far as im aware OcUK dont sell games so it wouldnt be classified as a competitor, when discussing importing games, but if we were to discuss importing consoles or hardware then it would be, so they should be allowed to be named since we are discussing games and OcUK dont sell any

They sell all other sorts of console stuff that OcUK sell, so would fall foul of the competitors rule.

Where is the best place to import this?

I'm looking at 2 very similar places that have identical signing up processes.

Should i go for the more expensive place and with £3.74 shipping or go for the free shipping place? Just ordered one on the more expensive place hoping that it will come in a couple days, will it? Shall i cancel and go with the less expensive place? Will the less expensive place with free shipping be here at the same time?

How is the dual shock 3 controller btw? Is it a lot heavier?

Just weighed mine for you...

SixAxis - 125g roughly
Dualshock 3 - 225g roughly
Xbox 360 - 250g roughly with rechargeable battery pack.

The weighings were on rubbish flour scales!:p

I know a man, who knows a man, who knows a student, who knows loads of students, who knows another student, who has these "digital" scales. (Like most students!!). I will get him to weigh them. I would have thought there is more in it as "by hand" (my preferred method of approximating weight) the 360 one feels much heavier than the DS3.


btw You Mouse and keyboarding or you using the ds3 for now? I am sure I will be on UT3 tonight at various points to complete the 1 player mode etc and maybe play some online stuff just to familiarise myself more with the controls and game modes.

Btw, Does any1 still play Resistance: FOM multiplayer? Or is that old news now :P? I'm about all of tonight to play, if any1 else is up for it..

Thanks to virgin media/NTL being a pain in the butt, not had many games online yet on UT3, but i am surprisingly enjoying the single player campaign.

I like using the DS3, dunno why, keyboard and mouse seems a bit finicky. I need a table or someting to use keyboard and mouse.

Is there a multiplayer option to play co-op with your friends or deathmatch (i.e. some1 next to you with another control pad, not over the net).
