Have only thumbed through it atm, looks pretty good but can't help but get that seen it all before feeling. Realise why it is the last one.

well tbh why would you buy a magaine now days when you can get the latst news instantly from the internet

Slightly sad, this issue was more a memories issue than a proper full gaming one. I how they slightly attacked Future and PCGamer in as well. As was said, the change to Future killed it, lower budget, some great writers left as well.
 
Sigh. Alas, poor PCZone.

I bought UFO: Enemy Unknown because they said it was great. 17 years later, I'm still gaming (and playing UFO:EU, thanks to Steam).

I'll miss TPCG more, though.
 
Just got my sub copy and was pretty shocked. Its my favorite pc games mag. Although I do subscribe to pcgamer aswell! Missus will be happy as she wanted me to stop subscribing to one of them and I couldn't make my mind up which one.

Did annoy me when future took over as some things like the disc and hardware reviews started looking very similar to pc gamer. Also noticed most of the guys that work on pc zone also work on official xbox mag.
 
Hopefully this will be waiting for me when I get home. Gonna have to contact the publishers to cancel my subscription - don't want it changing to PC Gamer as it's a magazine I haven't liked since the 90s....pretty much when I started reading PC Zone, in fact!

Actually, I might check with them first whether those being moved to PC Gamer subs will get the new subscriber free gift (WoW board game, I think).

(best Amiga mag last issue is Amiga Power for sure).

Its funny to read how PC's had taken over the Amiga market and that the writers 'wouldnt' be going over to PC mags. Now its the turn for PC mags to fall. Although its not because of the fall of the PC but the rise of the internet.

Still sad, even though i have not bought a PC mag in years.
 
End of an era for me too.

Started buying it in '98 / '99 and have 90% of the issues.

The quality did go downhill in the last few years though.

Smaller page count was very noticeable to me.

I was never a fan of PC Gamer so will not be buying that.

R.I.P Zone as from 1998 - 2005 it made for some superb reading.
