Official Wolfenstein thread (PS3/XBOX360)

Just reading the thread this over in the PC Section. Mixed reactions, although the Single player seems to be pretty good. MP as per reviews is a big let down.
 
Just went down to town in my lunch and picked up a copy, couldn't resist making a purchase of some sorts today :D
 
First impressions are that it's fairly generic, felt like I was playing a 4 year old Medal of Honour game if I'm honest. Gameplay offers nothing new, graphics are fairly plain and the cut scenes look very dated

It'll be ok to pass the time between now and next week when Batman is released but I can see it being one of those games that'll no doubt be on special offer in most game retailers within the next month or so

Given the chance I'd probably take it back and get my money back but to be honest I cant be arsed with the hassle so I'll stick with it :p

I agree with you there, it felt just like medal of honor underground at points!
Its quite fun though, not worth £40 however
 
Got this coming from my online rental will give it a whirl glad I ain't paying for it by the sounds of things, I was quite excited this was coming out a few weeks ago.

Is the multiplayer that bad?
 
Got it the other day but havent had a chance to even put it into my 360...problem is that i have my nephew over from Canada and hes a bit of a 360 nut...so hes been busy playing his games ie Star wars lego, PGR3 etc and i havent even had a chance of a look in.

And next week im getting the new Batman game so god knows when im actually going to get a chance to play the games i have...still have prototype as well but dont know if im going to try and finish that off...might just trade it in.
 
Going to get this for PC, cant be chewed with a console version. Was just waiting for a demo to test it, but it should run alright on the PC.
 
I started playing this today, not brilliant but it seems alright. I'm playing on the Uber difficulty to get some extra achievements but it's pretty damn easy so far.

After an hour and a half I'm 28% through, guess I'll be on track for the Blitzkrieg achievement. :D
 
Way to short, lots of running back and forth between areas you've seen a hundred times, enemies are beyond generic and your 'special powers' aren't that special.
I didnt enjoy this anywhere near as much as RTCW, the atmosphere was really lacking and just seemed like a ww2 shooter 80% of the time. Save your money and get Modern Warfare and play RTCW on yer pc;)
