** Official WoW Catalysm Alpha/Beta Thread **

Currently playin as a DK blood tank, full stam, having great fun :)

Quick Q tho, Whats the easiest way to gut all of my addons?
I've not been using the curse clietn just manually adding them.

Now cant gt either gatherer or gathermate overlays to work :(

Yeah but that means actually socialising... :o :p

I'd love to do dungeons, but my realms is not pug friendly and I don't know anyone on it currently.

Everyone I knew left back years ago. :(

Also has anyone gotten an Email from Blizz? They just gave me another 7 free days. That's 21 free days in a row! :D

If you mean delete them then just go into wow folder\interface\addons and delete the whole lot if you like. If you want to delete stored settings for the game go into wow folder\WTF folder.

Just deleting the addons should be enough though.

I got another 7 days free too! :D

After just enabling a week. :p

I'm currently doing the sons of hodir quest chain, almost at 78. Epic scenery in storm peaks, loving it.

Yep I'm currently 74 and as soon as you hit 70 the leveling gets hard. I did 60-70 purely in instances, I did about 20 quests in Hellfire and nothing after that so I don't know what interesting content I've missed.

Weirdly, I've done over 100 quests in Borean, like practically every quest I can find, yet I never got a quest to take me to the next area, I just had to explore it by myself, which I thought was poor.

I've found the levelling really easy, a mix of dungeons and quests, I'm a prot warrior with all the violet hold gear. Go me.

On alliance I got some random quest to talk to someone in another area. Turns out I needed to be two levels higher to start quests there.

So had to go back to Borean and just grind mobs for another level, then got the Achievement Nothing Boring in Borean for doing over 130 quests in it.

Then pvp'd all day for another level. Now I can get quests in Dragon's Blight.

It's all pretty crap if you ask me, I never had to do that much for a level grind back in Vanilla.

I love the quest chains in Northrend - I'm about three quests away from the Loremaster of Northrend achievement, and I had a break for about 18 months :p

I never understood these achivements really, but if people like grinding them it's all good.

I how ever am a poor bugger! You'd think 2500gold from vanilla would hold it's weight, but hell. It's like 4500 to learn to ride a fast flying mount. I'd say questing would be faster if I wasn't stuck at the bog standard one. Which was expensive enough. :(

Is there anyone to transfer gold from a Horde Character to Alliance?

when i hit northrend i normally start in warsong hold (horde), i find in howling fjord theres so much travelling between quests, in borean tundra the quests are packed into a smallish area.

As i level i normally pick up every instance quest i can whether thats in coldarra, dragon blight or the Utgard ones in howling fjord.

Apparently in cata its gonna be that once you enter a dungeon for the first time all the quests related to that instance will be available from an NPC just inside which will make levelling a lot easier.

As sum1 else said i tend to complete the full chain in an area before i move on, borean tundra had like 150 quests to get the achievement but athe higher you go up the chain the better the rewards so it seems worth it.

For me i generally hate outlands the most, i guess it depends when you joined WOW, i started playing in WOTLK and like northrend, my GF played from vanilla yet loves TBC areas.

She never tires of telling me how great it was when shattrath was the old hub and packed.

No I don't, I logged back in after never playing Wrath. It's all new to me.

Unless the quest takes me there, I'd probably not get near it.

What I do is check wowhead for zones and their respective levels and where to go. But yeah howling fjord is the 2nd starting area for Wrath.

I'm currently levelling in Outland after returning to the game after 2 years out and finally getting past 60. I have to say, Outland is pretty boring as there's nobody around and it feels like a place that time has forgotten now everyone has moved on to Northrend.

I think my realm is basically dead. Vanilla is dead, Outland is dead and I've only seen about 6 other people in Northrend.

Most high levels seem to be around the capital cities. Even then not enough to cause even a lag spike like the old days.:(

I feel like im in limbo with wow atm even though i know the expantion is weeks away. Iv been really hyped up about it but now i just feel "meh". Its mostly to do with what class to play in cata, i got a few lvl 80s and been playing shaman as my main since the start. But now i want to change and have no idea what to play :(
