patched to 4.0.3 on both computers and now it wont connect on either of them :(

made firewall rules, rebooted everything multiple times.....just gets stuck on character screen and doesnt load the characters.

Okay, silly question but I supposed it's worth asking anyway. Have you tried removing all your addons, and deleting your Cache and WTF folders?
 
Witnergrasp was an interesting experience on Silvermoon last night. The first one of the evening saw an epic 7v7 battle. Word soon spread that tenacity had gone and the next one was 30v30.

Silvermoon is very much an alliance server, horde numbers have grown recently but been very little interest in Wintergrasp, most evenings its about 7 or 8 horde against 40-60 alliance. Horde always got 20 tenacity which is fine against a couple of players but the only difference it makes against 20 is it takes a little bit longer for you to die. So it looks like the new system is getting people back into pvp on horde side
 
I really like the changes to WG too tbh. With Khadgar the ratio is about 5:1. 5 being alliance. So in WG Horde always got overwhelmed. But it sucks because our battlegroup is mainly horde......

So you do WG and just get stupidly outnumbered. But you try queue for a BG you have to wait nearly 1hr b4 you can get in.
 
What do you find about wow, that i don't? am lvl 78 rogue and i'm hating it with passion. Was thinking of getting Cataclysm, but now quitting in 10 days. Damn wasted 45 quid
 
I find the game really starts at 80, so I would try push through the next 2 levels and get some gear, then you can either push PVE or PVP depending on what you prefer and the game starts to become more enjoyable then.

For me, it's all about who you play with rather than what you do when you're playing.

This is exactly the thing, the game itself is nothing unless you have friends to play with, real or online.

That and the solid gameplay/updates, are the sole reason for WoW's success.
 
I don't have friends who play WoW, but that's substituted with being in awesome guilds. The time spent in the OcUK guild for example has been a major highlight of my gaming years.

i get a free name change 'cus my chars name is already used on this new server?
do i get a faction change to or not?
do i get a race change etc too?


I'm wanting to transfer a mage i used to play on, but its on horde and im on alliance (with mates) atm, I was also wanting to be one of the new cata worgens.

Im just a bit confused :)

This.

Been playing with the OcUK guild for going on 3 years now. Consider some of them good friends.

The social element combined with half decent raiding progress makes the game for me.

If you have a decent guild, you will enjoy the game a whole lot more.
 
anyone having problems on their hunter or warlock with controlling their pet?

pressing ctrl-1 which should make my pet attack seemingly does **** all!

tried even rebinding it and it still does nothing. :confused:

If u transfer you will remain your current faction and same race, only thing that might change is your name if one already exists, if you like to change race or faction u will have to pay, well in my experience at least ;)

When you change factions you will be able to choose to a race you'd prefer

Decided to stop being lazy and upgraded my acc to Cataclysm..and was greeted with the following email:

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm has been added to this Battle.net account.

Being a European account, surprised it mentioned 12:01am pacific time in the email. Wonder what thats about?
 
anyone stocking up on any WOTLK items for flogging of at a higher price once cata hits? i would imagine with people playing WOTLK areas less the consumables will cost more.
