nope, world wont change until cataclysm released on Dec 7th.

right now they have released the game mechanics and engine upgrade patch ready for it..........but its buggy as hell apparently.

i havent played wow for months now, i wanted to some time out before catacylsm releases. Its amazing how much more spare time i have now for things like spending time with the missus :p
 
Did my first heroic last night and my interface was lit up like a Blackpool show, think I need to figure out what was causing it and get rid of it :/

Water looks nicer now though!

That's not true. Patch 4.0.3 will change the world and that's released before Dec 7th. As for bugs - same things happened when 2.0 and 3.0 went live. Give them some time and they'll iron it out.
 
the engine is not efficient, its incredibly cpu hungry.

they have prettied it up more with the new water effects and a lot of textures and shaders are higher quality.
 
If you have classic wow and bc updated to 4.0 do you need to install lich king over it or can you just enter the lich key on your account and your ready to go ?

Edit: Just read this on the support forums if anyone is coming back from many moons ago.

Is there any sites doing guaranteed delivery for the 7th for cata', or is it better to go the digital download?

I allways like to have physical media on the shelf really so would prefer a release day delivery.
 
If you must have it on the day, go get it from somewhere that's open or opening especially at midnight.
 
How are people finding their paladins? I'm still getting to grips with mine. I'm finding it difficult to get a good rotation up, mine normally starts with Judgement, CS, (annoying lull if Exo isn't up) Judgement, CS..and by that point most mobs are dead and I've not managed to get 3 holy power points.

I must say my fury warrior is a hell of a lot more fun than my paladin and does more DPS.

Anyone got any advice on a good rotation?
 
I'd say not to worry about rotations when soling and instead opt for being as efficient as possible on your health and mana which will speed up your levelling.

If you are talking about a rotation on a boss, visit Elitist Jerks on the Ret paladin thread as there is always a optimal rotation floating about.
 
In terms of single target stuff, your priorities are 3HP TV/Mastery Proc TV > CS > Judge > Exo (AoW only of course) > Consecration > Holy Wrath.

Regardless of what happens you should be using CS every 2nd ability if you don't have a mastery proc or 3HP, you should also reforge to Haste to get the CS CD as close to 3 seconds as you can when fully raid buffed, whilst maintaining hit/exp cap.

Aye. I have heard about reducing the CD to 3 seconds. I am currently working on JP for T10. I am using the set before it, the one gained with Triumph. Thanks for the replies. I'll check out the web sites.
 
For those experiencing an fps drop and having difficulties I remembered there used to be an option called Fullscreen Glow Effect. I went googling and...

/console ffxglow 0

Try that, see if your fps returns without all that nasty glow in places. :)

Yes there is they even give you compo if it dont turn up. Ordered 3 diff pre orders all came 1 - 2 days early.
