****Officlal XCOM game 2010/2011****

Actually im hoping its like the old xcom, with action sequences fps style that you can choose to play in fps style or classic strategy,it might be good it might be bad if they can get the old style of play(strategy) with additonal fps play.

I was rather hoping for some Sectoids, Mutons and Chrysalids at least. Splodges of black splurging about don't quite cut it somehow.

It's bound to be garbage that completely misses the point, but I try to hold on to hope.

There was another thread about this a few months back, when the first news came out. I was prepared. :(
 
There's nothing XCOM about this, and I don't just mean the gameplay. EVERYTHING is different. Why didn't they just call it "Resistance: Fall Of Man: The Early Years"? That would be just as pertinent.
 
To be honest, that looks a hell of a lot better than the original vid, looks like hopefully it's got some real time squad management and the research side of things to it as well.
