OFFline lag in Madden 07?

Was playing a bit of Superstar in Madden 07 last night and was getting massive lag, and this was offline single player. Sounded like the disk access was going mental, and every new cut scene, or formation screen etc stopped for a second then jumped forward.

Anyone else had or heard of this?

Yup ive had this as well while playing the game, its just a case of bad programming and Madden 06 wasnt any better either. Other than that, in game its ok..doesnt lag or jump around too much....saying that i havent played it for some time...should really get around to finishing it off at some point.

I've had the game for a while but only just got round to playing it. The superstar thing is really good, but its wierd to play the games with inly one player - am I right in saying you only control your superstar during the play (if you take CPU control off you can control the team while your superstar isn't on the field). For example, my superstar was a QB, so once I have thrown the ball or handed off to the RB, I can't control them as well?

Strange sensation chucking a long pass, then watching the play from a distance.
