I want to create a portfolio of work, however I do not want it online on a website. What program is good to create a nice looking portfolio which would be ideal to print or save as a PDF?

It will be displaying text, photographs, screenshots of websites, and figures.

Is Word the best program to be using for this, or would something else be better? :)

I used:

  • Illustrator for the logo/misc elements
  • Photoshop for image prep
  • InDesign for layout

InDesign looks good, never heard of that before, I shall see if they have a trial to see what it is like before I buy it.

InDesign is basically the industry standard page layout software these days. It's quite easy to use, but bear in mind it's first and formost for layout, not design, so you'll need some decent stuff to put in it :)
