Offline profiles (360)

When you sign up to Live and create an online profile, do you loose all your achievements you've earned on your offline profile?

A friend at work is asking. Think he's worried about loosing his gamer points if he signs up. Though I don't see the point in worrying about gamer points if you arn't online already

No the Live! profile is linked up with the existing profile on the 360 - he wont lose any of his Achievements or GamerPoints.

Ah right ok, that's good I suppose. I wasn't sure as I already had Live from the original Xbox.

When he signs up with that account if the name is already taqken itll ask him to change, either way should be ok.
