Offline shooter

Can anyone recommend any offline shooters (if theres any) that I can play when I'm offshore as the internet connection is pretty poor out here there's no chance of an online game of modern warfare.

Something along modern warfare lines or battle royale!

I just played through Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, and it was good fun. Few years old, so should be cheap. I got it through game pass.

I’ll add the Metro series, Bulletstorm, Prey, Tom Clancy’s Wildlands (stretch to call that a shooter though). All should be cheapish.

thanks ill have a look through all these, I've got breakpoint but I think it needs a constant connection as keeps throwing me off the ubisoft servers all the time and closing, unless I've missed an offline option. are any of the above like a battle royale style or have mini game options like modern warfare's capture the flag, team deathmatch etc

Not sure if it still works, but there is a config change for BF2 that allows you to play offline with 32 or 64 bots.

Tried searching best fit I could find was this.

Easy Red 2, I hear good things about this. I just bought it myself and going to try it out later.

Not exactly modern but supposed to be cantered around single player.

From a retro gaming perspective:

Unreal Tournament
Quake 3

Left for Dead 1 & 2 with bots is not too bad. If you play on the hardcore levels as a single player, it will make you sweat; the AI don't throw bombs, so your work will be cut out!

The Arma series are rarely called out for single play which is a shame. You can build your own scenarios using the Editor - Once you get to grips with the Editor, the world is you oyster, its very addictive forming your own battles. Arma 2 is my favourite high point, but controls are a little archaic.

Arma 3 the player controls are more refined only you are fighting AI who are Terminators (crack shots).

So far added BF2 to try with the bots, titanfall 2, easy2red, and Arma3 to my wishlist. Armas looking like what I'm looking for especially being able to make your own scenarios up. looks like I'd spend hours on that

Insurgency Sandstorm is a shooter I enjoy a lot and you can play it with AI teammates against enemy bots. It's more realistic than Battlefield but not as far as games like Arma, and has a great selection of guns and accessories for them.
