So i tweaked my i5 6600k to 4.4GHz with manual vcore mode set to 1.27v. Run 40 minute stress test at AIDA and it was fine, only vcore jumped 1.26-29. But I wanted voltage to be set at offset, because temps in idle jumped to 35C ater setting stiff 1.27 voltage.
And here it is. By default there is 1.216v. So I set offset to 0.06 to match it at 1.276. What happens after i boot it up? Vcore 1.36 and jumps like crazy. Same with auto mode, even at stock clocks it jumps to 1.36 while full load(at 3.9 GHz).
So I ask WTF? Why there is some def value of 1.216 when PC doesnt stick to it and why offset just doesnt work?
