Offset mode

Hi 8 Pack,

I have a 3930k on a Rampage IV Formula motherboard which is perfectly stable in manual mode at 4.6ghz with 1.36v. However, I am experiencing issues while using offset mode.

I followed the tutorial for the Maximus IV and V motherboards, and I was able to achieve the same overclock with the benefits of offset mode, but the computer shuts down immediately when running either Intel Burn Test or Prime95.

I am able to get a score of 13.30 in Cinebench 11.5 while in manual and offset mode but not the stability in offset mode.

Any suggestions? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Use manual mode!!! System is stable why change?? No reason.

In offset mode voltages are not predictable on all CPU as its the CPU its self that determines the voltage. Offset works well on some CPU but not all.

MisterSingh, what is the CPU setting the voltage too while Offset mode is enabled? Have you adjusted for under volting in this mode? Also what are your other settings such as other voltages, LLC and Duty/phase control?
