My very clever son has just knocked my laptop of the table on the tiled floor! The screen has completely smashed and I cant read/see anything on it. I do have another laptop however this is my wifes and I need mine for work.
Here's the question, is there a way I can get at the information on the broken laptop without taking the hard drive out?
I need to do this quickly!
I hope someone can help

Simon

Does the laptop have external HDMI or VGA connections?

If it does try connection to a external monitor or TV.

this is were something like Team Viewer is handy when its installed on a machine as a service..

you might need to enter the password if the laptop is protected by one and ise the Function Fx key to cycle some of th drivers are a bit picky

just hook it up to any lcd/led TV and use the FN key next to CTRL with the function that has a picture of a monitor on it (eg mine is F5) and keep pressing it once or twice till you see a desktop on the TV. Simples.
