Think weebeastie ate itself again, not 100% sure but she won't power up, haven't had a chance to check the 24pin socket but I think it might be toast. Hope it diddn't take the PSU out with it this time, these 1500W PSU's are a tad expensive.

Thinking of going for the Asus RE3 as it at least has the extra molex power sockets for the draw of 4 cards. Not worried about the x16 for what we do in here x8 is more than enough.

Will brave the weather for pics tommorow :(

Hopefully I can get an RMA

I just know I'm going to get the runaround, I spoke to Asus who seemed sympathetic but told be to go back to the suppluyer (subtle) :)

They did raise a RMA but think that its going to be an out of warranty repair. yeah so the same mobo nukes two different PSU 24 pin connectors :p

Ah yes but then you need a case to fit the bloomin thing.

UD9 - needs 9 slot chassis :(

Classified-4-way-SLI - needs 9 or 10 slot chassis :(

SR-2  Only fits like 3 cases on the planet

Rampage III Extreme: nice one, yes the lanes run 8bit if fully populated but not a big deal for folding/crunching. At least I have a chance to fit it in my case :)

AM3  and only 3 double space pcie slots :(

AMD is no good for bigadv unless you do dual 6 core opteron :)

Not sure what I should do, the P6T7 is off for RMA, and I dont wanna fork up for a R3E if I can get it as an RMA alternative.

Thats average bigadv makes it more variable than that on a daily basis. Its more like 30K for two days and then 100K for one :)

Lookee what I found on my new P6T7 that I got when I RMA'ed the one with burnt 24pin socket. :D

Also noticed it was a "Rev 2" on the motherboard.

Considering the amount of people who tried to blame the PSU in these cases of burnt 24 pin sockets, I am pleased to see the manufacturers adding the extra power needed that is being pulled by these high end cards.
