i want to cry. 300gb of data gone because i swapped chassis and i can't remember my bios settings. i had a raid setup and i can't remember the bios settings i had... i did backup the bios, onto the hard disk which i now can't access. i haven't tried it yet because of whats happened. wish me luck :(

ok i was very lucky. pushed my luck and successfully selected the right options and the raid array is still in tact. remind me next time i do this to backup the bios!

well i've moved from a sb75g2 case... to a sb75g2 case, one with the grille cut out

i originally cut the grille off, but then i bought a second shuttle for a modding project so swapped chassis, the design changed and the other shuttle is dead (got a post in GH about it being dead, and one in here in SFF showing the butchery)

basically was just swapping it back over to my hacked up chassis, and i am glad i kept the other as stock incase shuttle want to see it as i've asked them for help.

needed the bios settings because it took me about 3 hours the first time round trying to get the raid0 sorted with the onboard raid chip, so many different options which sound like they do the same thing.

as for the file server, it is something i am working on but as title suggests, its my other shuttle that i can't get to work that was going to be my storage, with 3-4 hard drives. going to build up a proper network when i move into my house (rented) in 2 weeks, having a 5-pc network in student halls is a bit overkill

with shuttle making bigger cases i can't see why they don't make a full tower version of the g2 series, it was by far pure sechs and would rival other high end cases.
