New to the whole customsing computers scene, so please excuse any newbish terms for a while 
Started last year as I wanted to build my own pc, ended up buying the AMD PII X3 710 and gigabyte ........I forgot the name, CPU/ mobo combo. I stuck it in a media PC case which was fine until I upgraded my CPU cooler and added the Sapphire HD 4830 512mb GDDR3.
Went out and bought the Xigmatek Asgard case and everything fitted lurvely.

Spec
AMD PII X3 710 @ 3ghz.
Arctic cooling Freezer pro 7 Rev. 2. (Best £15 EVER).
3gb DDR2 RAM (never actually searched for the spec of this RAM).
500GB 7200rpm WD CB HDD.
Sapphire Raedon HD 4830 512mb, not OC'd.
Corsair HX620 coming soon to upgrade from the shoddy eBay 500w special I was told was good.
I never see CPU temps above 38 under load, hopefully will reduce when I get my other 3 fans working.
Future plans
Cable braiding when the new PSU comes.
After some research on here, find a decent budget AM3 mobo.
Change to DDR3 RAM.
Add some schnazzy lights.
Fan controller.
Discrete toggle switch(es) for lights.
