Linky dink.

Wouldn't be F1 without the threat of a protest hanging in the air....though Horner doesn't seem to rate his chances:

"Basically, if you stall the wing you take all the drag off it and pick up straight-line speed," explained Horner. "It's something that's been done quite a lot over the years but with the wing separators you're not supposed to do that. Our question ultimately will be: 'Is it clever design or is it in breach of the regulations'? They must be very confident that it's legal. I would think it will be legal."

isnt f1 ment to be that every car has to be unique from the other to gain advantages and win? or do they all have to build the same car but with different mechanics and spanners?

No, F1 isn't supposed to be a spec-series (i.e, one chassis and one engine for all). But there are a great many restrictions, some that I think everyone would agree with and some that are hotly contested.

And I shall duck out of here now, because if I get started I won't stop :)

Sounds like Renault are going to protest the wing.

Uh oh. That doesn't sound good, given the free ride Renault has gotten from the FIA in the last couple of years.

From another thread on here:

Renault have access to McLaren technical data - no real punishment. Renault release a car out of the pits knowing that one of the wheels will fall off - no real punishment. Renault effectively force one of their drivers to crash so the other driver can win - no real punishment.

Renault International Assistance!

Expect McLaren's immediate disqualification from the championship, and a sackful of cash to go to Renault as a fee for all their help....:)
