Oh Joyous day. Yep, today's the day I got my new graphics card. Oh, and what a sight it is. After several days of waiting, I got the red reminder through my mail box yesterday saying that the royal mail have a pacel for me. So, today I go and pick it up. I could hardly contain my glee "Woo, I hope it was worth the wait" I thought to myself. The woman at the depot comes back with my parcel "hmm" I thought "box looks abit tatty....and abit small too, I'm not sure how my X1800GTO could fit in it". I try and suppress my doubts until I get the box in my hands. This didn't boost my confidence. The box was unusally light, for a moment I wondered if there was even and graphics card in there. I rip off the brown parcel tape, and take a look inside. "phew" I thought to myself "it is in there". Then I take out the card for a closer look.

Oh dear.

Instead of receiving my B-Grade X1800GTO which I paid £131.55 for (including VAT and shipping), I have got a Brand new X800GTO. Woopy Friggin' doo.

So, my question to you all is, what the hell do I do now.

LOL!!....is it from OCUK...umm, well, as this is there forum, I thought it would be the right place to moan about it!

Seriously though, what a n00b mistake to make, this X800GTO (just the card with no cables/extra's) looks brand new, it hasn't been opened (from what I can tell anyway.

It looks as though they couldn't find the X1800GTO, so they just sent me this instead  .

P.S: This is my first ever online purchase, so it's not inspired me with a lot of confidence.

How long do OCUK take to replay to emails, because I'd like this sorted out by today if at all possible, which means that I have to make it to the post office (to send this card back) by 12noon today.

What are my chances??

Umm, how exactly should I contact them??

I've already sent them an email via the RMA thingy, not sure if that was the right thing to do

Would I be better off calling them?? (for 10p a minute!!! ).

Not to sound to negative or anything, But I'm starting to read some pretty bad comments about OCUK's customer service on the internet. Nearly every comment I come across is bad...say it isn't so :( .

I would be happy too :) !!

But alas no.

I have been delivered an X800GTO, not a X1800GTO.

I already have a X800GTO, so this really isn't an upgrade at all.

Hence the problem.

AND THEY HAVE!!!!

Whoohoo, just got off the phone with them (nice guy on the phone).

Recommended me a refund instead of a replacement (basically I think they had labeled a X800GTO B-Grade wrong - so they never had a X1800GTO B-Grade in stock).

I just have to send the card back to them and they'll refund my money (fingers crossed).

only bad side is now I'm down £3 on my mobile phone credit :p .

Well, as I said, so far there customer service to me has been good(ish), and as I've posted the X800GTO back to them now for a refund, as long as the refund happens, that is good enough for me (even money says if I'll get ALL my money back, the guy on the phone said he'd refund my original bill with VAT and shipping, and the cost of me shipping the X800GTO back).

hmmm, although I am on good terms with OCUK so far, it must be said that some people feel a different way. Why they feel that way I cannot say (I'm sure they'd tell me though).

But, my point is, if they feel the need to do such a thing, they must have a good reason, atleast to them, to do so. Perhaps OCUK's customer service was bad at one time or another, this I cannot say, because I've had little dealings with them in fairness.

All I can comment on is my deals with them, and as I've said, so far it's been good.

P.S: plz don't make me eat my words by FUBAR'ing my refund, pretty, pretty plz

P.P.S: Oh, and Andy, thx for replying to my e-mail, was worried about any confusion it might have caused.
