Im using my stepdads computer mine wouldnt start up .I really didnt want to upgrade until intels conroe bugger.

Ah, actually don't bother, "Intel" explains it all.

Just wear and tear i guess had it for three years got some one coming out on tuesday to take a look its the oldest part in there so cant think of what else is dead.

are you sure the cpu is dead..... its quite unusual for a cpu to just die one day.... my money is one something else

99.9% sure its the cpu got someone coming out tuesday morning to take a butchers.

If you need a cheap CPU just buy a second hand one to tide you over

I agree been looking on *bay at a p4 570j 3.8ghz.

Its alive been trying to turn it on all day and nothing just got in and it worked as normal
