yesterday went out and bought a dvd to watch last night with the good lady.
then discovered that when we were watching it, the audio options needed changing, subtitles and language, due to tonk ( my 20month old ) using the dvd remote as a hammer type tool the dvd romote was bust and also lost so i was unable to change any of the dvd options. so we decided that it bring my rig down and plug it into the lg hd tv down stairs.
so i bring it down set up, no sound ? hmmmi fiddle round for 30 mins, no sound, so im thinking its something to to with the hdmi adaptor, so i go get my monitor and bring that down, set it up, no sound ? i fiddle round with creative console, still no sound, by this time im getting very very frustrated.
in the end i give up, throw a hugh f'ing fit at my comp and rush to tescos and buy a new dvd player, happy days, no ! there was no scart cable in the box, had a spare tho.
so
this morning i decide not to go mountain biking and this issue with my sound will bug me the whole time im biking, so i decide to setup the comp again in the comp room upstairs, plug in all setup thinking im gonna have to figure out why no sound, but lo and behold there is sound ?
setup no different from how i done it last night down stairs. so out of curiosity i take it all downstairs agian and plg into tv, no sound, bring monitor down, no sound, take it all upstairs, we have sound
the speakers were all taken downstairs too.
ive decided never to take my comp downstairs again as there must be a no sound demon somewhere betewwn the computer room and the living room.
any ideas just to put my mind at rest what the heck may of caused this stupid annoying bug ?

and the film was crap too :p

Were you trying to send the sound over HDMI the first time around? You need to change the default audio output device in the sound properties before that will work in my experience.
