I have just taken the plunge and ordered the Mac Mini..... I have been mulling over this purchase for time, after originally being tempted by a macbook back in august 2006, but more recently with a macbook... but overall a mini will suit my needs plus i have a 19" widescreen already...

Expected around 6th March...what are they like on delivery... it says shipping is expected in 3days.. i won't have to wait weeks will i? :P... i can't wait... ill be sure to post pics of my setup up in all its glory when it arrives...

1.66Ghz Core Duo
1Gb RAM
60Gb HD

I currently have 2 external hd's (320/160) so i figured i didnt need to upgrade the hd capacity in the mini... I also have 100gb hd on my laptop.

I figured 1gb RAM would run more smoothly too instead of the 512

I know some people may say i should have waited until Leopard has been announced maybe bringing core 2 duo to the mini... But for my needs it wont make much difference.

Anyway...Im well happy! :) cant wait to get stuck into Mac OS
 
That's the same spec as one of my minis, they are excellent bits of kit. Personally I would have gone to a store to buy that spec, I can't be doing with waiting around for delivery :) The only mac I've had to wait for was the iMac because I went for the uprated graphics card so it had to be built to order :(

Good Choice, mac mini's are awesome!

I have a 17" MBP which i only got on the 15th of feb. The delivery was 5 days early than the estimated delivery date.

Hmm, mine hasnt been dispatched yet. Est Dispatch is the 5th March...Delivery the 6th March.

Tuesday isnt that long to wait i guess....hmmm actually it is :)

great features so far... luckily ive had a helping hand with another maccer who is a member on here too, cheers kyle :)

anyways,ill post pics when they get uploaded. Very happy new mac user here.

Can I be cheeky and ask how much you paid for your Mac Mini? I realise they're more expensive than a mass produced, bog stadard PC but I've got absolutely no idea how much a Mac Mini costs.
 
Thanks, that's not as bad as I was expecting. From the way some people were talking, I was expecting it to be a lot more expensive than that, tbh.
