I don't think anyone is saying that. The DM is unapologetically right wing, is very liberal (lol) with it s fact-checking and despises women, foreigners, people left of Stalin, gays, and anyone who is not a 50 year old white, right-leaning male from Surrey. That's its market and it does well in that segment which, before Trump, would have been seen as unusual or at the very least highly immoderate.
I haven't checked but I think reddit is more popular/used than the DM but that's hardly an aspirational goal given that its filled and viewed by some of the worst margins of society. Ask me about the SA-enforced pedo close down and why its owners and moderators are entirely repugnant.

As far as I'm aware racism in this country is Illegal. So it seems odd that a publication expounding racist views is, firstly allowed and secondly so popular. I've compiled a little list here of things I guess you consider racist, but actually aren't racist.
1. Brexit. Racist
2. Feeling millions of white E.Europeans should not gain immediate access to needs based welfare without any contribution. Racist
3. After finally breaking free from hundreds of years of religion dictating aspects of our lives, not wishing to import an even less tolerant religion. Racist
4. Feeling no obligation to help 20-30 year old children. Racist
5. Talking about the unsustainability of allowing economic migrants to game the system by saying they're not. Racist
