I've got a few key criteria:

Range - I'm getting an MX Revolution which I hear has solid range; I'd like the keyboard to have a range of at least 3m reliably. My current cheap logitech set has a tendency to have dropouts if I move more than 2m from the reciever, which is useless for me really.

Media Keys - Through my eclipse 1 and 2 keyboards, I realised I actually used these buttons a lot; so ideally I'd like a play/pause, fast forward and rewind button on the keyboard, your standard stuff.

Layout - I'd like a standard layout, full-sized keyboard, the FN key puts me off the otherwise well reviewed Keysonic 540 after experience with my old laptop.
I'd also liked tiered keys rather than laptop keys as I find them much faster and easier to touch type with. (as in the keys are raised in levels like a normal keyboard, not flat like a laptop)

Price - really dont want to spend any more than £50, ideally I want to spend half that!

Thanks in advance, any experiences/info welcome, I know you can't mention other shops, but I'm sure I can hunt for models myself :)

PS. I did look at the black 612 Keysonic OcUK do, but apparently it has range issues, which the 540 model doesnt (shame :()

No one? =( If anyone has any suggestions even if they do miss certain features it'd be appreciated. Main factors are range and price.

Well I've ordered a Barracuda XT mouse/keyboard set, and an Hama 10m RF keyboard. I'll see which has the best range/reliability; although a review from Computer Buyer on the Barracuda XT sounded very promising;

Cost a little at £50 for the two sets, but I can chose the best of both sets (and I'll have a spare mouse to compare to the MX Revolution) and Im sure my family will happily accept the unwanted keyboard as a gift next time I go over.

Can't remember which now but Im pretty sure one of them at least had all the media keys and standard layouts I wanted. :)

Hey ho mate, I got a diNovo mini, great media kboard with great range. Uses bluetooth and doesnt have any issues as yet. Bit pricey tho :-(

Post up how ya new gear is performing.
