I think I just killed my computer :(

I installed my old printer yesterday to scan some images over. When I unplugged the usb (using front panel on Xigmatek Asgard case), the computer turned off (first display, then computer turned off fully).
After about 30 minutes, it turned back on. About 2 hours after, it reset itself, but then no issues until now.

I had to scan some documents to send to OCUK, so I had to use that printer again. Same thing happened, but its now been about an hour.
Ive unplugged the front USB incase that was the problem, also cleared Cmos (not sure if that would have done anything). Ive unplugged everything else and refitted it all, reseated RAM and gpu with no avail.

Now Ive just had a quick search online, as it said that it could have been a build up of static thats now potentially fried my mobo. Could this be true?
Within the same thread, it said that its fried a few PSU's.

Any ideas and possible fixes?

If anythings broken...I blame OCUK for making me verify myself :p

I thought motherboards had USB fuses to stop this from happening.

I know Antec have grounding points for the front I/O in their cases, bit too late now though. :p

Right, bit more on this.

I plugged back in the front usb and plugged my phone in (gigabyte board with the on/off charge feature) and its charging, so hopefully thats ruled out PSU problems, BUT its plugged into the same header as before, which means the mobo cant be fried (if it was fried, it would be at the header right?)...so now Im thinking it could be the CPU?
