I had the most horrific start of the day..

Amongst a set of “mishaps”, i managed to put on my boxers inside out, not the worst I’ve heard, at least they were my pants.. and I managed to pull them up via the correct hole

Once I corrected the mistake, my day started getting a lot better.

Anyone else wish to share their tales of woe and misfortune?

Another horrendous start to the day for me.

Put the rubbish into the bin for collection last night.

Heard the bin men this morning, looked out the window and I'd left the bin outside my front door instead of in the street.

I blame it it on getting old.

There was no one manning the checkouts so I had to put my full weekly shop through the self service. :( Bloody hate it when that happens, it takes ages, the bags never stay upright and it randomly doesn’t recognise stuff. Only downside to shopping so early in the morning.

Sorted the washing and put it away on Sunday night.
Thought I had enough light when pairing socks.

Today I am wearing odd socks and as we're away, I can't change them.
FML.

I did one of those, "ok, I'll just lie here for 5 minutes then get up" this morning when the alarm went off.
Woke up 45 minutes later, and wife was in office early, so had to get kid to school. Lunch box made, clothes pulled on, pony-tail done, even managed to put some sunscreen on the kid and still managed to get her to school just before the main doors shut in 20 minutes flat!

I've avoided Morrisons despite it being right next-door to my house for years, preferring Tesco simply because they have the hand scanner thing so you don't have to stand and wait at the end before getting out of there.

So I was delighted when they brought them in at Morrisons. Saves me literally minutes per week. But then, 2 months later, they got rid of them again

I got up a 2:30am last Tues for a work flight to Berlin, in the haze of tiredness I somwhow managed put my wife's pile cream on my toothbrush and promptly treated my rear gnashers for hemorrhoids.
Spoiler, pile cream does not taste good and the day only went down from there.

I'm rarely ill like ever, for whatever reason I don't get sick (enough to bother me/notice)
Yesterday I woke up at like 5am with what I can only describe as razer blades in my throat, jack hammer inside my skull and the Niagara falls in my nose. Still going now never ending supply

Hating existing right now

I have to get one of my car door interiors cleaned, Have to assemble my desk and chair.
and worse of all need to deal with government departments to get information and documents verified.
Worse of all I need to take a shower, I hate showers as I spend too long in them.

I specifically went to a particular supermarket chain to buy higher quality bogroll at a bargain price and it was sold out and I'm going to have to go back Wednesday... FML..

Both are work ones and happened at the start of the day.

Not lighthearted but still recent: Clocked on at 09:00 as usual then straight into an MS Teams' team meeting. My sister rang my mobile 4 times, a few minutes apart. I ignored the first 3 but did answer the 4th. I told my team that I have to go on mute for a sec. Turns out our step-dad (who did most of our upbringing) has passed. Went back on unmute and manager said for me to clock off and get to my sister's and gave me a week off work. So Father's Day will now be difficult as I have also lost my dad.

Lighthearted (more akin to this thread): I did a tea/coffee drinks round and managed to mix up the sugar sachets with salt sachets. The drinks were rather... salty :p Had to re-do the round.

The day gets worse, just dropped a third of a bog roll into...the bog. :(

It could be worse. I once made a whole bog roll go soggy!

Bit selfish of you to make her wait for you to make your lunch, get dressed and do your pony tail.
;)

that's the reason I wear black socks.

Usually bought about 12+ pairs at a time, it reduces the chance of noticeable odd socks.
