Go to any Daily Mail article, this one for example, hight light any of the body text and copy it. Now go and paste it into a text editor or email client. At the bottom you'll see it's automatically appended a link back to the article!!
From a technical point of view I think it's really clever and forwarding think, (JavaScript I guess.)
