Ohme Pro users - how good is the mobile connectivity?

Hey all,

I was debating between chargers, and the Ohme Pro seems to be the one to go to. I live in an area where I get an 'OK' signal when I'm outside the house. You can make phone calls outside, but data is spotty.

Does anyone have the Ohme Pro with similar signal limitations, conscious a lot can be down to an individual device so whilst my phone might work, a charger might not.

Thank you!

I've been wondering the same for when i get a charger, i live out in the sticks with extremely poor mobile signal, if you hold it up in the air at the top of my drive you can sometimes receive a text but that's only on a good day.

It's the same on every network i've tried :(

Yep due to poor mobile signal I'd need a charger with wifi/ethernet-socket, and laying a combined power cable+IP to garage,
poor mobile signal also gives unreliability for waking up & defrosting a ev, too, unless you scheduled that night before.
(although the trick of waking the car by sending it some charge , which would then allow it to have wifi maybe an option)

even if the ohme is carrier agnostic, the differing chipset/antenna in the mobile phone/(older?)ohme may mean they receive better/worse. (like iphone vs android can)
... new estate mile down the road had the distinctive podpoints,

We have very poor reception in our area for all providers, it is a bit better outside, even then only 2 bars max on 4g and need to rely on WiFi calling in the house. I have an Ohme Pro for about 18 months and never had a signal issue if that's any help

Had you had some kind of site survey from the installer to address any potential issues (if octopus, for example, blessed the installation of an ohme, and it didn't work reliably I guess you'd have recourse)

bidirectional chargers seem imminent - renault deployed in france

so, hold off. (accompanied by onboard invertor on their newer cars ?)

No mention of iso 15118:20 which looks more like V2g through CCS. That image is an AC type 2.

Just noise jpaul again.
