Just had a strange encounter, i'm sitting in my bedroom at home, lights on tv is on and i'm trying out my new vr headset (Quest 3) near the window facing the road outside. I hear a banging noise, ignored it, hear it again, i'm thinking is the banging coming from the game i'm playing, it sounds real, this vr headset is good....but it doesn't relate to the game. Hear it again, loud this time. Think is my car ok so open the curtains to check, there's a rough looking chav type character mid 30's standing outside my window who says "oi mate have you got a fag?". I shook my head and mouthed "no" and shut the curtains. Peeped out again a few mins later, no sign of him.

Don't know about you, but knocking on a strangers window asking for a cigarette at midnight isn't quite normal. Some strange folk about.

I didn't even know the Quest 3 was out , is the quest 3 better then the pro ?

I've not used a Pro but going by general consensus i think the Q3 isn't much if any better than the Pro for PCVR. It is better for standalone as the onboard gpu/cpu is much improved. Its mixed reality capabilities are better as the passthrough is much improved (higher res and has a depth sensor).

Chester. It's an ok neighbourhood here but we are 1/2 mile away from a pretty rough council estate.

I spoke to a neighbour this morning who lives about 150 meters up the road in an apartment block, told him what happened, he said this person has done similar to him and he's nothing to worry about apparently.

So the more important issue here is - how much better is the Quest 3 than the Quest 2? Both lighthearted and serious at the same time as I have a Quest 2 and I'm being nosy.

Fot lots of feedback on this take a look at the virtual reality sub forum. My brief opinion on it is that it is significantly better, a definite upgrade.
