oil flush

No point unless it's all clagged up inside. Any black sludge in the oil? If not don't bother.

I have heard of it curing sticky valves but also wreacking havoc with gaskets. So I didn't ever do it on the Mondeo as was concerned about gasket failure.

I DEFINATELY am not doing it on the Rover, lol!

Funny you should say that because I have been doing in on the rover for ages and it's never had a HGF even aver 130,000miles.

I've heard some bad things about this, and you might find if it's a high miler that the sludge and build up is holding the engine together lol

My friend did it on his Calibra and afterwards it leaked oil

Mine is now on just over 110k with no HG probs too.

Touch wood.

To second stonedofmoo, you can have problems by flushing the engine - the dirt and sludge helps seal small gaps between components, take that off and the engine might end up much worse than before. Its the reason I haven't done it on my 280k mile Mondeo, I know its dirty as hell in there but if it works don't try to fix it!
