The car in question is a 1998 mitsubishi rvr. Come with the follwoing - AC, PS, PW, PM, CL, SP, 4WD, ABS, . Price is 1700 (including FOB) but i dont know which one to pick. You decide, which one looks better. I somehow think the white one but then it will be hard to keep clean, also the blue looks sweet too......

White gets my vote. Looks a good shout for 1700 notes

Engine?

Engine is 1.8 and uses the same INVECS II system triptronic gear found in ftos apparently.

Despite sharing its name with the previous system, the second version of INVECS was a radical development, based on Porsche's Tiptronic semi-automatic transmission technology.[5] As with Porsche's version it allowed for either a fully automatic mode, or a clutchless semi-automatic mode if the driver wished to control the up- and down-shift points. It also offered the same Adaptive Shift Control software which monitored and "learned" the driver's habits over time and adjusted the smoothness or aggression of the gearshifts to suit his style.[6] It was first implemented in the new Mitsubishi FTO in 1994.[7]

You may think less on paper but it soon adds up.

you obviously have to collect the car, that takes time and money.

Simple things like that, and the fact you need a MOT for registration, makes it rise in price.

Also remember this is a 1998, and therefore requires a model report, which may or may not exist.

Again, more money.

Model report dont exist but there are ways round it (again ;) ) Things can be obtained and use accordingly, i know at least two guys who have done so. :)

I know, ive come across these methods.

Some use the old disabled drivers loophole, others claim the car is older than it is.

All im saying is, be careful.

Some people have been caught out and left with a car they can only use on track. Its one of these things that will only hit you when the car arrives. Keep it in mind.

Thanks man.

Iirc, the disable driver thing has been closed now - no more adding a noob to steering wheel etc. It is also hard to lie about a manufacture date, dvla do physical examination of the car - my fto was examined.

Let me tell you a lilttle secret though - Certificate of cornformity or type approval can be obtained if you know the right people. ;) This can be used instead of model report. Also there are loopholes in the law too but i wont tell you that. :)

This post will self erase in one hour.

Why that model? Would you not prefer the older RVR with the Evo's 2.0 turbo?
That would be worth going for... just for the sleeper factor :)

I like this shape better and am at a point in my life now, all am after is comfort and cruise (with practicality etc). No more go fast.... Im growing too old i guess. The one with evo engines are rated and one is been sold for like 5k or so on Autotrader.
