Finally got all my bits installed and working, received my replacement ram and thats installed fine and working dandy now the fun begins.

Anyone with tips, advice on clocking my new toy?

Asus P5k
Q6600 Quad
600w Power Ssuupy
X1950pro 512mb graphics card.

Regards.

Hi M8,

I'll give that a go now and get back asap. The cooler is Arctic Cooling AC-FRZ-7P Freezer 7 Pro so I presume that should do.

Regards.

Just give it 10Mhz at a time then use OCCT to test for stability the 30 min test should sort it quickly. I would assume you can get something like 320X9 on std volts.

Im so far at 350X9 with temps at cpu 43deg not under load..

Cpu volts at 1.34
Mem volts at 1.21

Should I go more, not touched anything else.

Regards.

PS,

Im using the Asus AI Suite for clocking and I've turned the Q-Fan to performance and now my temps which are at rest (not load) 38 Deg.

Ok advice......

My settings are as follows:

CPU Temp Idle: 35 Deg
CPU Volts: 1.368v
Mem Volts: 2.1v
FSB: 360
Multiplier: 9
Clocked to: 3260Mhz
CPU Temp Load: 50 Deg

Tested using OCCT for 30 mins and it came back stable, do you think I can go higher?

Regards.

These CPUs can reach 3.6 on air for some people, but id be very careful nad ensure you test properly etc. while keeping a good eye on temps.
