Ok, I have a domain and some webspace - How do I put my photos there?

PS - I know little to no HTML so need the easiest option which is easy to maintain and does not look like it was designed by Fisher Price.

So...

Picasa any good?

Is it just photos you'll be looking to upload? If so: Pixelpost is simpler / more arty, Gallery is more complex / more powerful.

Or would you want a blog as well?

Mmmm, not to bothered about a blog for the time being.

The ability to add a short description to the photos would suffice.

Is mainly for family photos of holidays, days out etc to share with family.

Want to host them myself as ultimately it gives me more control/flexibility. Such as the ability for others to download the original full size images without hassle.

You can make simpleviewer galleries, and have a simple HTML index page which links to each gallery. You can also have short captions for each photo.

The HTML index page is very easy to code, and updating to add links to more galleries is also very easy.

I use this method to share family photos with our relatives and it works very well.
