avid pc gamer for years and wii owner is excited about GTA:IV and am thing of getting an xbox360 can some explain the differences between the models

live , premuim, elite

game does look good and thinking of getting a macbook pro to replace my 8800Gt gamming rig soon so xbox seems logical move or PS3 Hmmm m decisons decesions I hate them #

I would have to suggest the PS3. It's a much more futureproofed machine which is starting to pick up momentum.

Arcade, Pro and Elite now.

Arcade, no HDD. White £150~

Pro, 20gb HDD White £200~

Elite, 120gb HDD. Black £280~

Think that's about it

Thought I'd point out the Hard drive in the elite, Although 120gb, It's also limited to just holding content from Xbox Live, Or ripped music CDs, You can't transfer anything onto it, Like movies, Photos, or MP3s.

Personally I'd go with a Premium, A nice new premium. An absolute arsenal of games, a great online experience

Ignore the Elite and go Premium/Pro as said, unless you want the larger hard drive for the video marketplace. The 360 has a ton of top games already out and at low prices too.

I would say get the elite as I have a lot of download content on mine and glad I got the 120GB disk.

And as you get more game saves, live arcade games, download content... it all adds up.

You can get some pretty good deals on the elite now.

As mentioned go with the Premium unless you want to download a ton of stuff and keep it. 120Gb isn't really needed that much unless you rent a lot of HD movies and keep a lot of demos. Premiums are dirt cheap and well worth the money.

If you're getting another console I'd definitely recommend the 360 above the PS3 for the current and future game releases and the superior GTA content.

Doesn't that lack a HD? As far as I know you can't play online without one.

Depends what games your into, if you like Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy etc. go PS3, if you like First Person Shooters and the GTA exclusive content interests you, go 360.

If you decide to go 360 I'd go with the Pro.

You need some sort of storage device to go online, to hold your Xbox Live profile and updates. The memory card with the Arcade is enough.
