Have been looking at the HannG 28" and am sorely tempted. But there may be other options for less money, so need to see whats what.

If I were to connect my PC up to a 32" HDTV that supported 1080i, would I be able to select 1080i as desktop resolution? How would it look? Or would I need to select 1366x768? It's just that I am not sure I could put up with less than my current native res of 1680x1050.

I have another option of a 26" monitor for around £200, but is it sufficiently bigger than a 22" that I would feel like I had wasted my money? I know its only 2" less than the HannsG, but still, forking out money for only 4" diff? Would it be worth it?

Mostly interest in the question about using HDTV as pc monitor being answered though.

Edit:
Apart from general PC use, it will be used for gaming on PC and Xbox, plus to soem video/photo editing.
