Hey there, well my original mighty mouse stopped scrolling and even cleaning wasn't fixing it anymore.

So I tried my microsoft wireless laser mouse 8000. But the problem with this is after it has gone to sleep, you try reconnect it (by pressing buttons :p ) and it disconnected from the mac 2 or 3 times. So once the mouse has gone to sleep it can take a minute and half just to get the cursor to move.

I phoned up apple and they sent me a new mighty mouse, out the box the thing doesn't like to scroll upwards.

On both the mighty mouse and the microsoft mouse, it the cursor response is sometimes sluggish untill I turn off the mouse and reconnect it again (obviously takes longer with the microsoft mouse if at all). It some times take multiple swipes of the mouse to get it to the otherside of the screen. :(

So please, can someone recommend a mouse that doesn't have connection issues and will scroll?

On recommendation here I got the Razer Pro v1.6, tho I think I got some software for mine that made it so i could programme the Mac functions on to it. (remembered it wasnt software, just making sure I had the up-to-date drivers, then you assign each button yourself to the mac commands.)

I have used a fair few mise in my time and so far its been simply amazing.

I've used a microsoft natural wireless laser 6000 for the past year. Currently selling it elsewhere actually. Been great for everything however I fancy a bit of gaming having got a new iMac so I've ordered an explorer 3.0 :)

Old school ?

Logitech 470 and Razor Pro Click mobile, i have both and are great. My 470 stopped working but i got a free replacement with a week from Logitech :)

Logitech MX Revolution.

Don't know if the scroll wheel works properly in Mac OS, but if it does then its the best mouse I have ever owned by a very long shot :)

Is this mouse for gaming at all? If so get the mx518, g5 or g9

Otherwhise go for the mx revolution. The g9's features all work on a mac.

I've been using wireless mouses for years but switched a while to a wired MX-518. I think this is probably the best mouse I've used. Bearing in mind the first mouse I ever used was an original Microsoft mouse that cost over £120 and I generally change my mouse every year or so, that tells you how highly I rate this MX-518!

Another vote for the Logitech MX518. Mst comfortable mouse Ive ever used by far. Even though I use a graphics tablet most of the time, I do use a mouse for CAD and 3D modeling.

another one for the mx revolution, using one with my mac and its a lot better than the mighty mouse, only downside is the battery life is around a week and its easy to forget to charge it
