ok so do i do RAM or SATA's?

hi guys, check my sig and you'll see my rig. the question is...to improve the pace this badboy does things at do i got from a new sata drive and ghost across all my stuff on my ide's or do just buy another gig of ram? opinions welcome. btw im looking for a boost in games and general speed of the pc ta

Unless you were going for a v fast hdd then the ram, but tbh you wont notice that much difference either way

ok, so based on my setup do you think another gig of ram will be pointless?

i only say maybe a new hdd because i ran HDTach on my two patas, and a sata drive would outstrip them by miles

2GB of RAM would help in some games but in others you won't notice much difference, especially at the settings an X800 GTO will be at.

SATA drives aren't any faster than PATA but you would prolly notice a slight speed boost from a 7200.10 or a Raptor but nothing worth the money imo.

Would definately go for more RAM over a new hard drive tho, especially if you play games that particularly benefit from it.
