I have heard some things about Vista stopping you upgrading wetc, is this true?

I am planning on buying a CPU upgrade, a new Graphics card and some more RAM for my machine fairly soon, and I have heard that Vista does not like new drivers etc, is this true?
Should I wait to get Vista until I have got all my upgrades?

I don't think your Audigy 2 is supported yet anyway. Other stuff shouldn't be too much of a problem, graphics drivers seem to be ready. And RAM and CPU don't need new drivers :p

:) Ati, Nvidia, creative and Asus has drivers out, just checked :)
X-fi has drivers, X1950PRO has drivers and the Asus P5WDH MOBO has drivers out.
Vista has already shipped, tomorrow is the day :D

would be nice if the full drivers came out rather than betas for the gfx cards, only thing im waiting for atm really

I hear there are a few problems with 8800 Geforce drivers...
I am planning on getting an 8800 GTS you see...

I was running the Vista 64 beta for a while, and I have an Audigy 2 ZS, and yes, the Audigy drivers are dire, and hard to get working (they were on my machine anyway).

From memory there's only decent drivers for the X-Fi range of cards, and there's still some issues with them.

To be honest, from my personal experience, Creatives driver support as a whole is useless. If you're running a setup that is vaguely non-standard (dual processors etc.) the whole thing just seems to fall apart.
