ok this problem is driving me mad!!!!!
hi all
i have a problem and am fed up with it totally.
my pc is freezing up.it dosent do it in games strangely enuf.usually wen im on the web or desktop.i built my pc for games so i usually play a lot of games on it.graw and the like.ive never had this wen playing a game.
heres the symtoms.
computer freezes randomly sometimes from boot up(annoying)sometimes 6 times a day.sometimes once a day,sometimes never.it locks up and the screen goes blak,sometimes it reboots sometimes not.and sometimes wen i turn it on it sais recovered from a serious error.sometimes nv4.dll error.im absolutely lost as to *** it is.it cant be my new card cos it did it on the old one as well.ive tried reinstallin windows and everything.its not spyware.or a heat problem.is it these god dam 158.22 drivers?or my ram?please help before i go crazy.if it helps it did it on my other card and that was a dx10 card as well 8600gt.
specs are
amd athlon 64 3600 x2 2 gig
geforce 8800gts point of view
3 gig ram 2x1gig stiks of 667 2x 512 533(im not sure if it started wen i got extra ram from 2 to 3 gig)
550w psu 36amps 12v rail
1x 120 case fan at front,same at rear,2 at side.gpu is fine at 60 idle and cpu is fine at 39
