hi all my new pc might only need the same power as my current one and my old psu works fine still, could i maybe re use it or should i replace it?

it is 600w

thanks!

Watt ain't PSU model.
Without knowing precise model that could be 600w of Chinese fireworks.

it is a hiper something, sorry i cant remember which model exactly !

my pc has a core 2 quad in it - it was new back then so quite old !

sorry it says 580w on it not 600w

it has cool cables :)

I don't know yet ha ha

I know new hardware is a lot more power efficient than it used to be though so thought it would still be up to the job !

I will get a new one ! :)

well my budget is 1000 to 1500 depending on whether the extra is worth it !

i want to play games at 4k if possible ! but probably most of them at lower res high fps ...

i have another tread for the spec me though ! :)

i saw it someone linked it ha ha it was a little surprising to me ! i guess people just bought them because they look cool !

thats what i did, it looked good, and i loved the cables !

I'm in that thread somewhere, can't even remember how many Hipers i had but a few definitely died bad. Company went bust maybe a decade ago i think.

He should opt for the 850W model in that case and he'll have a PSU sorted for the next decade.
thasts what i was thinking :)
superflower leadex 3 850w 7 year warranty https://www.overclockers.co.uk/supe...old-modular-power-supply-black-ca-062-sf.html
phanteks revolt pro 850w which is made by seasonic 12 year warranty https://www.overclockers.co.uk/phan...old-modular-power-combo-supply-ca-08a-pt.html
thats what i would use :) currently have the superflower and its awesome and not too loud :)
