My soundcard has the normal 3.5mm mono mic socket, but I want to pick up an extension cable so I have the connector next to my creative speaker controller which has an earphone socket on it (so I can easily plug in my wired headset for voip). I've found a 3.5mm mono extension cable, but I've found a cheaper 3.5mm stereo extension cable - am I gonna have any probs using a stereo extension cable between the mono headphone jack and the mono input on my soundcard?
ok to use stereo cable for mono mic?
