I've got a problem with my email and my host, tsohost, has suggested I use teamviewer for them to troubleshoot it.

Has anyone had had experience of them asking this before? Or used teamviewer for this type of support?

I'm jus a little cautious to allow someone the remote use of my laptop! For instance, would they be able to view things without my knowing..?

It should be fine since you'll still be able to control how far they go in terms of accessing stuff they shouldn't be looking at etc.

What you see on your screen is what they see :)

Yeah it's fine, tis used quite a lot for remote support.

Just make sure it isn't installed if you're worried about giving people access. You can run teamviewer as a process and as soon as you terminate the process the access is cut off :)

Use TeamViewerQS (Quick Support) - single .exe with nothing to install. Once you've closed it, the remote agent can't reconnect.
